About this code
This Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the standards Xlines expects from the vendors, contractors and suppliers it works with. As a small, pre-launch company, our current vendor base is short — mainly cloud hosting and software providers — but we're publishing these expectations now so they scale with us rather than being written after the fact.
Legal & ethical compliance
Suppliers are expected to comply with all laws and regulations applicable to their business, including those relating to labor, data protection, health and safety, and fair competition.
Labor & human rights
- No use of forced, bonded, or child labor, consistent with our Modern Slavery Statement.
- Fair treatment of workers, free from harassment or unlawful discrimination.
- Compliance with applicable wage, working-hours, and workplace-safety laws.
Data protection & confidentiality
Any supplier with access to personal data or confidential information handled by Xlines (or, where applicable, our clients) is expected to protect it with security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of that data, and to comply with applicable data-protection law and any data processing terms we put in place with them.
Anti-corruption
Suppliers are expected not to offer, give, or accept bribes or other improper payments or advantages in connection with their dealings with Xlines.
How we apply this
Given our current size, we apply this code through direct conversations and the terms of our vendor agreements rather than a formal supplier-audit program. As our vendor base grows, we intend to build proportionate due-diligence and monitoring into our vendor onboarding process, and will update this page to reflect that.
